Privacy Policy

Unbusted is a focus and accountability app for students. It does not require you to create an account. Most of what the app does happens entirely on your device and nothing leaves it — with one important exception: to process and restore purchases, certain limited information is shared with Apple and RevenueCat, as described below.

Unbusted requests access to your device's camera during focus sessions. The camera is used only to determine whether the student is present at their study position.

Camera frames are analyzed on your device using an on-device machine-learning model. Frames are never saved to your device's photo library, never written to permanent storage, and never transmitted to any server. Temporary image files created for analysis are deleted immediately after each frame is processed.

Unbusted does not perform facial recognition, does not identify specific individuals, does not analyze emotions, and does not track eye gaze or head position.

The following information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to any server:

• Parent settings and configuration (reminder style, grace period, PIN)
• Student nickname
• Focus session history (duration, reminder count, timestamps)
• Trial start date

This data remains on your device until you delete it through the app's Data controls, clear it from your device's storage, or uninstall Unbusted.

Unbusted offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Lifetime Access") processed through Apple's App Store. To facilitate and restore purchases, a pseudonymous app identifier and purchase receipt information are shared with Apple and with RevenueCat, Inc., our purchase infrastructure provider.

PlanetaryPixels, LLC does not receive or store your payment card details. Billing and payment processing are governed by Apple's applicable terms and privacy practices. RevenueCat's use of data is governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase-related information according to their own policies and retention schedules.

If you contact us at support@unbusted.app or privacy@unbusted.app, PlanetaryPixels, LLC receives the information you choose to include in that message. We use that information only to respond to your inquiry. Email routing for these addresses is provided by ImprovMX.

We do not use your email address for marketing or share it with third parties.

Unbusted contains no third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics providers. We do not use your information for cross-app tracking.

Unbusted is designed to be used by students under parental supervision. Parents or guardians are responsible for the setup of the app and for supervising their child's use of it.

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Study-session data is stored only on the device and is not transmitted to our servers. Because we do not collect personal information through the app itself (other than what is necessary for purchase processing), we do not have personal information about children to delete or review upon request. Purchase information is handled by Apple under Apple's own terms.

The parent PIN is stored using iOS Secure Store (hardware-backed encrypted storage where available). Other local app data is stored in the app's private sandboxed storage, which is not accessible to other apps on your device.

Because study-session data is stored only on your device, we cannot access it, lose it in a server breach, or recover it if your device is lost or reset.

Camera access: You can revoke camera permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera. Revoking camera access will prevent focus sessions from running.

Session data: You can delete all session history from within the app's parent area (PIN required).

All local data: Deleting Unbusted from your device removes all locally stored data.

Purchase records: Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are subject to their respective policies and deletion procedures.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Unbusted after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
